RX Vega 56 vs. GTX 1070

In our Full HD and WQHD benchmarks, it is a total of two percent faster than the 1070 Nvidia reference card. In 4K / UHD, the RX Vega 56's lead increases to a total of nine percent.

In terms of volume and especially the power consumption, AMD's smallest Vega iteration takes the shortest. With 47.7 decibels and 347 watts under game load, it is significantly louder and consumes more than 50 percent more power than the GTX 1070 Founders Edition.

The RX Vega 56 seems to establish itself as the actual star of the Vega series, since it is not like the RX Vega 64 (LQ) trimmed to the last bit of power and has significantly less power consumption. With a price of 409 Euros, it also has the better price / performance ratio, if enough standalone graphics cards are offered and the prices are not due to lack of availability strongly attracted.
